- Bulk Asbestos: Analysis of asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) per EPA Interim Method for the Determination of Asbestos in Bulk Insulation Samples (with dispersion staining) - EPA Method 600/R-93/116.
- Airborne Asbestos: Analysis of the concentration of asbestos fibers in air by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) per NIOSH Method 7400.
- Airborne Mold Spore Counting: Analysis of the type (genus) and concentration of mold spores in air by direct microscopic examination of non-culturable spore-trap samples.
- Surficial/Bulk Mold: Analysis of mold type (genus) by direct microscopic examination of bulk mold samples and tape-lift samples.
Allied’s laboratory is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA); National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) PAT Program #14254. Allied Environmental Services, Inc. is a participant in the AIHA “Bulk Asbestos Quality Assurance Program”, also known as the “Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT)” Program. Allied microscopists have also received extensive training at the McCrone Research Institute in the following specialties: Microscopic Identification of Asbestos and Related Minerals; Indoor Air Quality - Advanced Fungal Spore Identification; and Indoor Air Quality - Microscopy of Dust Spores and Pollen.
